The main purpose of the GLOBAL-VOICES board is posting media files and discuss various topics according to the board categories.
We are open minded and don`t want any censorship but have a few basic rules:
General Site Rules - While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
- Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.
- Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
- Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.
- Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
- While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's products, we will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of 'ooh look, yet another bulletin board' threads. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatant bashing of other boards.
- We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
- If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.
- Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
- You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.
- You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests.
- We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our support forums are a privilege and not a right. A banned customer is still entitled to support from the support system.
Minors are not allowed to enter the board !
- No spam or re-directs or dialer ! Spam means ban !
- No posting of nude children or other illegal files !
- No posting of Animal Sex and Beastiality files !

No "Flaming": Please do not post any messages that harrass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest.

No "Trolling": Please do not post any topic that disrupts the peace and harmony of this board. Don't create meaningless threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. This includes messages in profiles and signatures.

No "Spamming": Please do not double post or cross-post the same message in multiple forums. You will not mass-PM or mass-email multiple members of this site the same message. You will not post for the sake of increasing your post count or hack count.

No senseless "Bumping": Please do not bump your request/help searching or other threads several times a day. Remember there are people who don't browse this board every hour. So do not bump a thread within 24h or too much even after 24 hours.

No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images: Please do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, about crime, violent conflict between gangs, Extreme Compilation with heavy death end or otherwise violative of any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. We also do not allow posts that are in nature or violate the genealogy community standards.Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.

Posting/Uploading files from paysites are not allowed without express permission of the website owner or permission of copyright holder. We reserve the right to remove any image or file for any reason whatsoever. Global-Voices is not responsible for the content of any uploaded files, nor is it in affiliation with any entities that may be represented in the uploaded files.

Do not give anyone your login information to our site, passwords, or personal account information.
Sharing of V.I.P reserved informations will cause site ban !

Be friendly - be nice - be polite - be tolerant - participate ! No flames - No personal attacks ! We don`t tolerate any abuse of another member, moderator or administrator ! If you have a complain about another member or a post contact the moderator or administrator.

No advertisement of any other forum / board / BBS / groups / communities etc. You are not allowed to post links to similar boards ! Exemptions possible, but approval needed ! - please contact the the site administrator. G-V friendly sites / boards are welcome to be added at our TOPLIST. Reminder: You need to add the html code to your site too; otherwise entries will be deleted immediately !

No porn avatars or signatures are permitted in NON XXX categories.

No commercial advertisement of paysites - If you are a webmaster you are welcome to place your banner ! You may choose the alternative "pay per click" program with detailed statistics and your own log in possibility to our banner admin area to analyse your site traffic linked from GLOBAL-VOICES. The board language is ENGLISH - any post in other language will be deleted. If you want to post something in another language,
you must give the translation within the post.

Stay on Topic
Posts in a particular forum need try and stay on topic. If you want to talk about something that is drastically removed from the topic of a forum, please take it to another, correct topic. We welcome most general conversation in the "General Discussion" forum.
Posting Title
The title of your posts must describe what your thread is about. Try to give information in the title of your post, instead of using a title as information and than you have nothing to post.
Using obscene posting title, will cause 1 infraction penalty points. By 10 infraction penalty points you will be banned from our site for 14 days.
Self-Promotion
Please do not post any messages anywhere on this site that are primarily for the promotion or advertising of any website, forums, email address, business, MLM, activity, or other entities that you have an affiliation with (ie. no self-promotion).
Goodby Posting
Please do NOT post any Goodby posting if you wish/want to live our community. For Account deleting please PM the ADMIN or Webmaster.
Signature Rules
Size Limits: All signatures should not exceed the following size limits:
Just Text: 8 lines small size or 4 lines size 2 and up to 90 chars per line
Just Image: 1 image up to 450 Width X 450 Height and 250 KB in size
Text and Image: 4 lines (or 2 with Textsize 2) and one image (in a new line) up to 300 Width, 75 Height and 20 KB.
( Empty lines are counting as well.)
No < center > tag please ! (to avoid scrolling from side to side)

Copyrighted Material
The Discussions Forums policy is meant as a place of exchange of views;
pure "Copy and Paste" contributions will be without comment deleted or closed,
depending upon mood.
COPYING FROM EXTERNAL SOURCES
A link to the original website should be provided for any copyrighted materials or articles copied from a source other than Global-Voices.info.
Any material posted from a source other than your own original work or opinion must be properly credited. This rule applies whether the third-party material is copyrighted or not. Giving credit where credit is due is crucial, and should include the name of the source and a Web link if possible. If a user does not include the source of copyrighted material Global-Voices.info Team has the right remove the material without further notice.
You may not attempt to copy (copy&paste), reproduce, create derivative works from copyrighted material in Forums.
Do not post up huge reams of cut and paste text, but make things easier for others by summarising the article and including a link to the unabridged version. Users who make a stream of posts with no meaningful content and/or continually post up off topic material in inappropriate threads/forums will be banned.
Moderators:
Global-Voices.info has appointed moderators for our discussion forum. Moderators are volunteers who have agreed to give up a portion of their personal time to help build a better community for our forum users. Moderators facilitate enhanced discussion by starting new topics for discussion; clarifying or focusing topics; and by enforcing these rules. In order to accomplish these tasks, moderators have three essential abilities in the boards where they are shown as the moderator: edit or delete any post, close or delete entire topics, and move topics to another board where the discussion is more appropriate. The opinions of our moderators are their own and do not represent any other party. From time to time, the administrators of Global-Voices.info may give the moderators recommendations on what response is most appropriate for a message or a user.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to remove unrelated posts as well as posts that violate the Forum Guidelines. Finally, we reserve the right to revoke your membership if you violate these Guidelines.
